Today I’m sharing a few Christmas decorating tips with you. How many of you love decorating for Christmas and go all out? Do you decorate early or wait until after Thanksgiving? I used to be a wait until after Thanksgiving type of person until Shalia corrupted me last year. Now, I can’t wait to get my Christmas tree up.
My Christmas Tree
I like to add touches of Christmas throughout every room of my home. There has always been a tree in my bedroom during the holidays, but not one this big or grand…and I LOVE it! I had envisioned a certain type of tree I wanted and found the perfect one on Walmart.com. For my exact tree, click here.
If you remember, last month I started getting my house guest-ready for my parents and sister, for the holidays. I was able to make lots of simple changes that made a big impact, on a budget. You can read about that here.

I wanted a green tree that looked real, with different types of branches throughout. I was so excited when it arrived and once I fluffed it all, was exactly what I hoped for.
We have always been Walmart shoppers, but now that they added their third party selling, I can find pretty much anything that I can find on other websites, but at a better price! All the wrapping paper you see is also from Walmart (in store).
Living Room Decorations
This next space is my favorite area and I don’t feel like the pictures do it justice. When I saw these large, oversized bottle brush type trees, I instantly knew what I wanted to do on my media console. This would be a great idea to do on a buffet or dining room table. I even called my friend as soon as they came in and told her to order them asap…they are amazing in person.
The larger white trees are from Walmart (in store) for only $4. The gold and champagne colored trees came in a set of 7 and where the perfect addition. The others, I had from previous years, but if you hurry, you can find them at your local store.
By adding the garland and twinkle lights, it made it feel a little more cozy. During the holidays, I have these lights everywhere! Best part, they are on timers, so you don’t have to remember to turn them on or off.
I still have a lot of decorating to do, but this is a start! Be sure to take advantage of Walmart’s free shipping over $35 or their free in store today pick up option. Also, they now offer a “Shop by Style” option. Whether your Christmas decor style is farmhouse, coastal, boho, industrial, glam, mid-century modern or scandinavian…you’ll find something you love (click here to “Shop by Style”).
