Today I am sharing a tutorial on how I style my hair. The inspiration for this post came to us last week when this pin went viral. It never dawned on us that so many people would be interested! So we thought we would share the step-by-step process, along with all of the products I use.

Step-By-Step Hair Tutorial
My hair has a lot of natural curl and is pretty fluffy after I blow dry it. The three main products I use are the T3 blow dryer, T3 1″ curling iron, and my BabyBliss straightener. Below, you will find a step-by-step tutorial on the process I use.
Step 1: Clip The Top
Blow-dry your hair and clip the top section up with blow dry clips, on the top of your head. I use IGK Thirsty Girl spray and Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray.
Step 2: Straighten The Back
Once my hair is dry, I then use the Kenra Professional Platinum Hot Spray. This spray not only protects the hair but also helps the curls hold. I use my BaBylissPro Sraightener and straighten the back of my head, first. My stylist Colton recommended the straightener to me and I love it! This is another BaByliss Straightener that is a great option.
Step 3: Curl The Right Side
Once I straighten the back and underneath section, I begin curling the right side. I use the T3 curling iron. Holding the curling iron vertical, I start with a 1″ strand and run the curling iron down my hair.
This helps smooth the hair before I curl it. Then I wrap the hair around the barrel twice and leave the ends sticking out. I do about 4-5 strands on each side.
After I finish, I move to the opposite side of my hair.
Step 4: Curl The Left Side
Repeat on the left side. Sometimes I point it up, or down–it really doesn’t matter as long as the curling iron remains vertical. I am faster when I point the curling iron up.
Again, about 4-5 curls each side and then let them cool. I will usually just finish getting ready and that’s enough time for them to set.
We’re almost done!
Step 5: Cool, Brush, & Texturize
Final step. When the curls cool, I run a brush through my hair and run it through the ends. I also like to run a tiny amount of Moroccan oil through to the ends. The Colleen Rothchild’s Smooth and Shine Serum is another favorite. I like Kevin Murphy’s Bedroom hair.
