I discovered this delicious recipe for banana bread from Tory Burch. Since I had bananas going bad, I decided to give it a try. It is the quintessential comfort food and perfect for quarantine cooking. I am extremely picky about my banana bread, and I have to say, this recipe may be my favorite yet! Plus, your entire house will smell divine!
How To Make Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup walnuts (optional)
1. Combine the oil, eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas.
2. Add the baking soda and flour.
3. Combine well for 2-3 minutes.
4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 325 degree F oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I love to eat my banana bread with a cup of coffee. Some like their banana bread warm with a pat of butter! My mom always put chocolate chips in banana bread and made muffins, also a yummy variation. Of course, I always use my MacKenzie-Childs courtly check enamel loaf pan. It cooks so evenly and looks beautiful sitting on the counter.
